Hello!

Welcome to the Head in the Clouds website. My name is Heather McKay. I’m an Irish illustrator based in Dublin. I started Head in the Clouds all the way back in 2000 with the help of my big brother, Andrew as a way to showcase my work and sell my art.

NEWS & EVENTS

Head in the Clouds & Friends come together in Celebration of Creativity at the Dún Laoghaire Pop-Up Shop!

A big thank you to everyone who made it to our Pop-Up Shop last week!

It went by in the blink of an eye and we only wish we could have stayed longer.

I have just built this brand new website with the help of Michelle Chance. So, if you are looking for greeting cards or prints, please feel free to contact me. We have also included a list of stockists on the site.

I still have to add the new images I created for the pop-up. They were inspired by Aran Knit patterns. I went on to find an article about Rosaleen Hegarty, founder of Crana Knits in Buncrana, County Donegal. I hope her story will inspire you. She is quite the lady! She is 91 now.
